Phone Included or Naked – This specifies whether or not the plan comes with a phone or landline as standard or not. If there is no landline or phone with the plan this is referred to in the industry as a naked plan. Please note Phone Included simply means you can make calls this can be via a landline plan or via a VoIP line through the internet.
Broadband Type – Broadband can be delivered to your address in many forms ranging from standard ADSL to faster fibre options. Each plan will specify what broadband type it offers. Please note that not all broadband plans may be available at your address as this depends on a number of factors. For more info on the difference between the plans and what impacts availability visit our onsite blog.
Data Allowance – This is the amount of Gigabytes (GB) that come with the plan. Most plans are unlimited so you don’t need to worry about it, but some plans specify how much data you get and how much it costs to get more.
Contract Length – Each plan and it’s specific price is based on a specified contract period. You can always cancel longer plans but there is almost always a cancellation fee. ‘No contract’ plans do not have a specified length or cancellation fee.
Price – The initial price per month that you have to pay the provider for the broadband service. We say initial price as some plans start at a discounted rate and then go up after a specified period. This price does not include other fees or charges such as set up fees or modem costs.
